On Friday afternoon, June 14, 2024, we met with relevant teachers from Charles Darwin University in Australia in Conference Room 504 of the Business School through an online conference.
The participants of this online event include Professor Wang Yufang, Vice Dean of the School of Business, Professor Zhang Weifan from the School of Business Internationalization Working Group, and Professor Tang Haibo; Adam Lam, Director of International Affairs at Charles Darwin University in Australia, Clare Shen, Admissions Officer for Greater China and North Asia at Charles Darwin University, and Wang Lei, Program Cooperation Representative for Greater China at Charles Darwin University.
Firstly, Vice Dean Wang Yufang of the Business School warmly welcomed Charles Darwin University to participate in this online exchange.
Afterwards, Teacher Zhang Weifan introduced the overall development of the school and the business school. Clare Shen, the admissions officer for the Greater China and North Asia regions of Charles Darwin University, introduced the overall situation of Charles Darwin University and its business school.
The attendees had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the cooperation between the two business schools in talent cultivation, faculty training, overseas renowned teachers, student exchange, master's and doctoral training, and teacher research, and reached some preliminary directions for cooperation.
Charles Darwin University is located in the Northern Territory of Australia and is the only public university in the Northern Territory. It currently has over 22000 students, including more than 2000 international students (including over 300 Chinese students); The employment situation of students ranks among the top in Australian universities, with undergraduate employment rate ranking fourth and graduate employment rate ranking second; Charles Darwin University has six campuses located in the regions of Casuarina (main) – NT, Waterfront – NT, Darwin City – NT, Alice Springs – NT, Palmerston – NT, and Sydney – NSW.
After the meeting, both sides expressed their expectation for broader exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in the future.
