On the afternoon of May 15, 2024, representatives from the China office of Northumbria University in the UK visited the Business School for exchange and discussion. Professor Wang Yufang, Vice Dean of the School of Business, and Professor Zhang Weifan from the School of Business Internationalization Working Group met and participated in exchange and discussion.
Firstly, Vice Dean Wang Yufang warmly welcomed the delegation of representatives from Northumbria University. Afterwards, Teacher Zhang Weifan introduced the overall development of the school and the business school. The school representative, Mr. Li Ning, introduced the overall situation of Northumbria University and the Business School.
The attendees had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the cooperation between the two business schools in talent cultivation, teacher training, overseas renowned teachers, student exchange, master's and doctoral training, teacher research, and other aspects. The representative of Northumbria University expressed willingness to sign a MoU cooperation agreement with Shanghai Institute of Electrical Engineering.
Northumbria University is located in the northern English city of Newcastle, and its graduate employment rate ranks among the top ten in the UK. Northumbria University Business School is the first business school in Europe to receive dual accreditation from AACSB in Business and Accounting, with 21 undergraduate courses accredited by EPAS. At Northumbria University Business School, students can participate in real-life business operation cases to gain valuable experience in problem-solving.
After the meeting, both sides expressed their expectation for broader exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in the future.
